Can I purchase a Mill kitchen bin without a service plan?
The Mill kitchen bin cannot be purchased separately. It’s part of your service plan, which also comes with on-demand Food Grounds pickup; personalized impact tracking; parts, repairs and replacements; and a dedicated support team of real people.
How is the bin different from home composting devices?
It’s different from composting all together. Composting breaks down food and takes weeks or months. The Mill kitchen bin conserves all the potential of your kitchen scraps turning them into Food Grounds, so we can keep them in the food system. Food Grounds are still food, minus the water, bulk, odor and ick.
How does the Mill kitchen bin filter out odor?
The Mill kitchen bin comes with a filter packed with 5 lbs of coconut-based charcoal. It’ll last six months for most households and we’ll send you a replacement for free when it’s time for a new one.
